Four origins, before you commit to one
Real oud is not one smell. The same tree, grown in four countries, gives four oils with almost nothing in common. The only way to find out which one is yours is to wear them.
What is in it
-
Cambodian (1ml) — sweet caramel, honey wood, creamy amber. The easiest to like.
-
Indian (1ml) — earthy, herbal, grounding. The most traditional.
-
Lao (1ml) — light, floral, uplifting. The gentlest.
-
Thai (1ml) — smooth incense, gentle tobacco, warm amber. The most balanced.
These are the same oils as the full-size bottles, from the same distillations. Nothing is diluted for the set. Each 1ml gives roughly fifteen to twenty applications, which is enough to form a real opinion rather than a first impression.
Three of our seven origins are not in the set — Malaysian, Burmese and Indonesian. Those are heavier, and we would rather you met them second.
How to use it
- One origin at a time. Do not try to compare them on the same day — your nose will not thank you.
- One touch on the wrist is enough. Give it fifteen minutes before deciding anything.
- Wear each one twice if you can. The second wearing tells you more than the first.
Most people find one they return to and stop looking. Which one that is has very little to do with price.
What you are buying
100% agarwood oil in all four bottles. No synthetics, no alcohol, no dilution. Nothing added and nothing taken away.
All of our oud is grown, not taken from wild forest. The trees are planted and tended, wounded deliberately, then left for years while the resin forms.
We buy directly from the small distillers who make these oils, in the regions where the agarwood grows. Each oil is rested until it has matured, then bottled in London and packed for delivery worldwide.
Frequently asked questions
What is included in the Discovery Set?
Four 1ml bottles: Cambodian (sweet caramel), Indian (earthy herbal), Lao (light floral) and Thai (smooth incense). All 100% pure natural agarwood oil.
Is 1ml enough to judge an oil properly?
Yes. Each bottle gives roughly fifteen to twenty applications — enough to wear each origin several times and see how it behaves on your skin rather than on paper.
Does it make a good gift?
It is the thing we send most often as a gift, because it does not require the giver to guess which origin someone will like.
Can I buy a full bottle afterwards?
Yes, and most people do. The full bottles are 3ml, 6ml and 12ml of exactly the same oil. See all seven origins.
Do you ship worldwide?
Yes, with free UK delivery.
Important note: oud oil is a natural product and skin reactions vary. Please patch test before full application, and stop use if any irritation occurs.
