The most traditional of the seven
Indian oud is earthy, herbal and grounding — the oud that people who grew up around it recognise immediately. Dry earth and green herbs at the opening, leather and medicinal wood underneath. It is the least sweet oil we carry, and the most serious.
Ours comes from Assam, in northeast India. It is grown, not taken from wild forest — the trees are planted and tended, wounded deliberately, then left for years while the resin forms. No wound, no agarwood; it is the tree's own defence, and nothing else produces it.

Indian oud moves more on the skin than the others. What you smell in the first ten minutes is not what you will be wearing an hour later, and that is the appeal.
How to wear it
- One touch on the wrist, a light dab at the collar. That is a full day.
- Give it a good fifteen minutes. This one in particular needs time.
- Cooler months and evenings suit it best.
- Expect four to six hours on skin.

Indian is the least sweet of the seven and the most distinctive. Where Cambodian is caramel and Thai is smooth incense, this is earth and leather. People who already wear oud tend to arrive here eventually.
